Nyx’s sets are built on endless discovery. Behind the decks, the goal is simple: energy, excitement and being in the moment together.
Behind the bounce and the bass is a DJ who never stops digging: Nyx on why the best selections start on the dancefloor.
A resident DJ for Queer House Party, Drum&Babes and AAJA, Nyx has played widely across the UK at clubs and festivals. Alongside her time in the booth, she has been releasing remixes and her own club-ready productions, earning radio and club plays across a sound that spans garage and drum and bass to electro and breaks.

OPEN ON YOUTUBE ↗Asked to sum up her work in three words, Nyx lands on “bouncy, freaky, hard”. It’s a fitting description for a DJ whose sets move fluidly between UK bass, club rhythms and high-energy dancefloor heaters.
Preparation, for Nyx, takes many forms. Sometimes it means going out and listening to others play. Other times it means her own research: following labels and artists, digging through their catalogues and tracing the collaborators who connect them. It’s a process that keeps the selection fresh and always growing.
That curiosity is exactly what she loves most about choosing music. “There’s so much music out there,” she says, describing a feeling of being constantly overwhelmed in a positive way by the sheer number of people creating. For Nyx, the selection process is as much about celebrating that community of producers as it is about building a set.
What she hopes to create on the dancefloor is just as open-hearted. Nyx wants people to feel energised and excited, and able to be in the moment with the other people in the room, however they feel comfortable.
Ask for her deadliest weapon and she doesn’t hesitate. Right now, it’s “Social Distancing (Bored Lord Remix)”, the Modeselektor & Flohio track that lands mid-set as one of the sharpest moments in her INTROE session.
